I’ll tell you a secret that everyone knows but few take to heart: when it comes time to die, love is the only thing that remains important.
When you’re on your death bed your bank account will be useless; your perfect figure amounts to zero. Sadly, you will find the great majority of what you focused on in life was worthless.
On your deathbed, all that matters is the love you gave and received.
If you are full of love you’ll leave life rich. If you are not filled with love you’ll leave as a beggar. What do you think fulfillment means? It’s not filled with money, food, or fame. True fulfillment can only come from being full of love, peace, and gratitude.
When I had a near death experience, there were only three things that remained valuable.
Did I give and receive enough love?
Did I do what I came here to do?
Did I leave the world a better place than I found it?
The second and third are dependent on the first.
What you came here to do is to share yourself at the deepest level, and how will you leave the world a better place?
Only through love.
Life has little meaning without love. Without love, the richest mansion is a dead tomb. Nor can there be spiritual awakening. Meditation, prostrations, prayer, and ceremony are false if the heart is closed. Love, kindness, and compassion are the heart of the spiritual path.
If you want More Meaning in Your Life
If you want more love…
If you want to be healthy…
If you are looking for deep satisfaction and meaning in your life…
If you want boundless joy…
If you are seeking inner peace…
Give them to others.
Life takes your own consciousness and reflects it back to you. If you want more…give more. Help others find the same thing you are seeking.
Each of us imparts our essence into life. Whatever you are will flavor the soup.
You can’t fake what you are, you can’t hide your true heart from life.
If you want to make this world a little better, be yourself, share yourself.
Whatever joy and happiness you possess, share it with others.
It doesn’t have to be big. Mother Theresa supposedly said: “There are no big things, only little things done with love.”
Share what you have, a smile, an act of kindness, patting a child on the back.
